Creating A Tagline (Tips For A Remarkable Tagline)

When it comes to creating a tagline or slogan, sometimes people feel overwhelmed and overthink the process.

A tagline should be something that is used for people to remember who you are and what you do.

My first attempt and understanding the power of a remarkable tagline was years ago while I was a member of a local, small business & professionals networking meeting.

One of the taglines or catchphrases that are from a member of that meeting and will always stay in my mind.

The tagline is for Blair Academy for the Arts. The owner is “Daniel Blair”. He teaches people of all ages piano, violin and a few other musical instruments. He capitalized on his name and his niche with one of the best taglines I’ve ever heard for the niche/category of the business.

“Don’t Just Play Your Music, Blair Your Music”

Ok, now onwards to creating that perfect tagline or slogan for your business or brand.

Over the years I have seen/heard some amazing taglines, but I’ve also heard some bad ones. So I’ve listed out some tips you should keep in mind when coming up with a tagline.

K.I.S.S. – Keep It Short & Simple

The smaller the tagline, the easier it is for people to remember. You know some of the more famous taglines that kept it short and simple.

  • M&M: “Melts in Your Mouth, Not in Your Hands.”
  • Nike: “Just Do It.”
  • State Farm: “Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is There.”
  • California Milk Processor Board: “Got Milk?”

There are some good and bad taglines in that list.

Before we go through which of the four taglines are good and which could be better let’s cover a few more things.

Don’t Leave Questions

Between your brand name and your tagline, there should be no big questions about what you do. Even if it is not direct, something within your tagline should suggest what you do.

Another awesome example of a tagline I’ve heard locally in networking groups is for American & Import Auto Repair. Could be another classic.

“From your headlights to your rear end, we’re your car’s best friend.”

You should be able to tell that they obviously work on cars. 🙂

Let’s take a look at the four examples of taglines.

M&M’s: “Melts in Your mouth, Not in Your Hands.”

Without actually saying what they are, M&M’s is suggested in their tagline to be chocolate by melting and it’s a snack because you can hold it in your hands.

NIKE: “Just Do It.”

Honestly if I was there when we started I would’ve said no to “Just Do It.” because that doesn’t help with people understanding what Nike does. But I would’ve been wrong! That is because they built their brand around their name and their tagline “Just Do It.” almost became a symbol of greatness by associating it with “Champions”.

So as another reminder with any of the content consumed on D.T.B. … Only you know your business so make sure it feels right to you.

Another thing I want to let you know is, if you are planning to build a brand around your tagline, it may be a little different and that is 100% totally fine! 🙂

State Farm:”Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is There.”

This is a good one. It represents care and concern from the brand to the customer. It’s short and simple and it will force people to recognize the brand.

If you call or text a friend the following message..

What is that phrase? “Like a Good Neighbor, …” I can’t remember the rest.

Your friend would be quick to sing the jingle in their head and easily reply.

“State Farm is There!”

California Milk Processor Board: “Got Milk?”

I don’t believe I should have to say anything. Got Milk?

This is one of the most recognized taglines in the USA and has been since that marketing campaign started in 1993.

Create a Tagline for Your Brand!

Luckily, this is not something that is 100% permanent. You can change this if you have a better idea later.

How To Get A Second Phone Number (Free With Google Voice)

When it comes to starting a new business from home you may not want to give your actual phone number out to customers and clients. That is why I swear by Google Voice.

With Google Voice, you can get a second number that forwards to your cell phone and my favorite part, you can send “after hours” calls straight to the voicemail!

You can text via your computer and the Google Voice App (Available On All Platforms).

When people call you, you can select to have them identify themselves before the call goes through so you can “screen” incoming calls to get rid of the ridiculous “telemarketing” calls.

You also can get a text with the transcribed voicemails that are left for you so you can read them instead of listening if you wish. Unfortunately, the transcription process isn’t 100% accurate so some of the messages may not make sense but about 75% of the time it is close enough for you to understand what was said. (In My Opinion)

In order to get a Google Voice Phone Number you need to have a Gmail Account. If you don’t have one and not sure how to create a free Gmail address, you can go through the tutorial here.

Once you have a Gmail (Google Account) you need to go to https://voice.google.com.

Once you are on the home page, simply click on continue to move forward and choose a Google Voice number.

The next step is easily wrapped up by saying type in your area code.

After you do that it will show the available numbers you can reserve for free. Choose the free phone number you want by clicking on the “Select” button that is next to the number you want.

The next step is to verify your existing phone number. Click on “Verify”

In order to finish, all you have to do is enter your existing phone number (cell phone number) into this pop up and click on “Send Code”. After you do that you will receive a text with a code that looks like “G-XXXXXX”. Enter in that code and just like that … you have a new free phone number that you can use for your business!

P.S. Please don’t abuse this feature, we as a community benefit from cool tools like this. So please don’t give Google a reason to get rid of this tool. 🙂 Basically put, don’t use these to spam people…

When you are starting out in business, you will always remember the “basics”. You start with your business license, business cards, door magnets, and hopefully you get around to some digital stuff. You may register your domain and may even build your own website.

This is data that you’ve collected on your own without relying on someone else to collect it. You basically go directly to the source for the information. Collect it and gather it on your own. In this way, you can organize the data in the best way for your business.

Collecting Your Own Data

The very best ways to collect your own data is to conduct surveys, do interviews, host focus groups, ask for input from your following on social media and send out questionnaires. Before you start, learn all that you can about your audience so you are sure that you’re collecting the information directly from the right source.

Conduct surveys

Using software like SurveyMonkey.com or your WordPress website (if you are going to build a website with our free tutorials you can also use Elementor Pro to build basic surveys) to send out a survey to your audience that you can analyze using a spreadsheet, pie charts and other methods that help you to understand the data better.

Do interviews

You can also interview people one-on-one that you know are in your audience. Use Skype, Blab.im, Google Hangout or the old-fashioned telephone to help you conduct interviews of your audience.

Host focus groups

A focus group is a diverse group of people within your target audience with whom you’ll host a discussion answering a particular question. For example, let’s say you’ve created a sales page; you can host a focus group who will try to use your sales page, and then report back how it worked.

Send out questionnaires

These measure various variables of the group taking the questionnaire. They can consist of open-ended as well as closed-ended questions. A questionnaire should only be formulated using positive statements, and should never make any assumptions about the respondent.

Observations

Sometimes interviews can end up biased due to how questions are formed or the perceived judgment of the interviewer, but with observing your audience you can gather a lot of unbiased information fast.

The Benefits of Primary Research

Anytime you want to create a product or service or write an article or blog post about or to a specific audience, conducting primary research can be a good way to know how to address your audience. You won’t make mistakes with assumptions if you know the truth about your topic and market.

Getting Started Finding Your Target Market

First, ask yourself what you really want to know. Which method will you use to make the discovery? Which participants will you use, and where will you find your subjects? Plus, you’ll need to figure out how you’ll access the groups that you need to access. You also need to figure out what your own biases are so that you can avoid having them show up in your research.

There are a lot of things to consider when conducting primary research that will make your work, ethical. Always ensure that you have your subject’s permission to gather and use the information, assuring them that you’ll keep their personal information private. Don’t take advantage of people, and report your findings accurately.

As I mentioned above, secondary research is data gathered by other people about your topic of interest. Conducting secondary research is an important start to gathering marketing research. The trick is that you need to find reputable sources for the information, understand whether or not they have an agenda outside of spreading the truth, and then confirm that information with your own primary research.

Finding Sources

Before you even get started, you need to know where to get the information from. You want to identify valid sources of information that will work for your needs. Places that are government, educational, and industry outlets work well. Be careful about sources with a particular agenda because they may twist the information to match their own needs.

Gathering Information

You’ll put together public data and other information from organizations and industry to develop a start to the secondary research you’re conducting. If you ask yourself what you want to find out and then collect information that answers that question, it’ll be easier to know what to keep.

Normalizing Information

Sometimes you’ll find conflicting information from different sources. Take a look at that data closely to be sure that the interpretation that you found is accurate in terms of what was really collected. You may need to throw out some sources in favor of others that you deem more accurate.

Analyzing Information

Once you’ve determined that the information you’ve collected is accurate, fair and representative of your market, you can put it together in a way that’s easy to interpret. Using words, plus graphics and images are often the best way to make the information understandable. What’s more, you’ll want to determine whether you’re putting the information together for yourself to use internally or for your audience.

Understand the Advantages and Disadvantages of Secondary Research

Secondary research has the advantage of being a fast, cost-efficient way to gather data easily, and it has a high level of value. But often it’s very general, and not really indicative of your targeted audience’s wants and needs. You’ll have to do primary research to make sure it’s accurate.

Use Technology to Help

Today, you can use technology to help you, such as accessing various online sources like the US Census via the net so that you can just download the information. It’s amazing what is out there if you know where to look, now that you can do it online.

Sources and Strategies

If you’re not sure where to start, the best place is with a government entity that collects and publishes data about various audiences. Next, look to trade journals, academic research, and with industry experts. You can also ask your colleagues and associates for help with brainstorming before you get started.

Time Yourself

They say that if you spend more than 10 to 15 minutes trying to find something online, it doesn’t exist. But, maybe you’re not using the right search terms. Brainstorm at least ten to twenty search terms about your subject matter before starting your search. However, don’t spend too much time on searching because you need to spend more time analyzing.

When you are conducting secondary research, follow leads and look for information in public areas like libraries, government entities, trade journals, and other reputable places before you get hung up on any type of data that you collect.

As we have been discussing, when you are trying to target your market, the best place to begin is by conducting effective research. But, it is important to avoid making these common mistakes.

Using the Wrong Research

You have to step outside your expectations when you conduct market research. Don’t only study information that matches your assumptions, because you could be wrong. Even if your business sells a service, or products to people you think are just like you and you’re in your own target market, your experiences are subjective and not indicative of the experiences of others.

Avoiding Primary Research

Knowing the market size, how it’s performing, and other information readily available to you is considered secondary research. And while it is good information, you need to also get information directly from your audience about your business. Being able to ask your target market directly about their thoughts, feelings, and actions can go far in helping you make good decisions.

Not Researching the Competition

Your competition is very important in your market research because they likely sell to your audience. Knowing how they do things and who they do it with, and everything you can about how they do business will help you do it just a little bit better. Differentiation is the key when it comes to winning against your competition.

Using Poor Reference Materials

It’s important to understand what constitutes good research and what constitutes poor research. There are some legitimate places to research using the internet and some that aren’t. The best places to look are within scholarly research via university approved publications. Be careful about using materials put out by propagandists.

Not Researching Your Audience

It’s best to get access to a list of people who are definitely within your target audience. You can do this via list-building exercises, or you can locate your audience in your competition’s groups and message boards. The more you can communicate with your audience directly and ask them the right questions, the better.

Using Out-of-Date Data

This is very important because even when the demographics stay the same, people change and grow with time. For example, the company Olay doesn’t market their beauty products to their audience the same way today as they did in the 1980s. Their product really hasn’t changed much, but they have to market to their demographic differently so they don’t offend them. You should do the same and avoid using out-of-date information.

Not Using the Market Research

Believe it or not, many business owners don’t even bother using any type of market research at all. They just stick with their assumptions and move forward. This is a huge mistake. When you conduct market research, you may confirm or completely defy your expectations.

Not Asking the Right Questions

When you start with market research, ensure that you’re asking the right questions when you conduct surveys. Creating a good survey is a talent that can be learned. You must phrase the questions correctly, read about survey question mistakes and learn how you can do better.

Remember that market research doesn’t really ever end. Even when you complete the initial research you’ll need to continue with it throughout the lifetime of your business or brand. Because, as mentioned before, even if your actual target market demographics don’t change, they do. They start using different technology, and their opinions and outlook on life evolve with every generation. Market research can help you keep up.

Blogging and social media are strongly linked in the sense that both contain certain features and certain properties of one another. Both are aimed at creating a wide movement as far as multimedia interaction and engagement is concerned. Though it is true that blogs can be regulated and kept very private, the main purpose of them is to reach out to a number of people, to have a medium to voice your opinion.

Another similarity is that both these concepts have existed in cyberspace for years now, but in the initial stages, both were rather exclusive of one another. Only in the recent times have they been merged, and their similarity in motives truly recognized.

Though your work will not come out in print, you know that you can publish your work – your articles, pictures, videos, etc – yourself through you blog.

Therefore, it may be your own personal journal that you wish others to read or you works of art in terms of the stories or articles that you write, or the movies that you make. You can share almost any content with the world at large.

It must also be noted that just like you do not have to be a web designer to create your own blog, you don’t need to be a professional writer, a film-maker or a photographer to publish content on your blog. It is just your space for you to indulge in your own small artistic pursuits and share those moments with others. Blogging must, therefore, be exploited to its full potential.

Ranking of any website depends on a few factors. It would basically depend on the relevance of the article according to the keywords used; the number of times that page has been linked and viewed, etc.

These are quite easy to follow, and if these factors are carefully noted and looked into, the rankings of your website can increase considerably.

The first step is to get your website linked through various other pages. The more the pages are that contain your links, the better ranking they will receive. The second aspect to be kept in mind is how often you update the content on your website.

Frequently edited and updated sites receive higher ranking in search engines than those that have not been looked at by the owners for ages. Always editing the content of your website as a whole may not be an option.

In this case what you can do is add a Blog to your website. A Blog will function as nothing but a forum for people to come and discuss the themes that concern your website too.

It will create a platform, as well as become a journal whereby you can also post updates about your operations and your website. The advantage is that the content on such Blogs will not be restricted only to text, but pictures and videos can be posted too.

The few easy steps as described below will take you through how to create your own blog and what are the things you must look out for:

  • Cost can never be a problem because free blogging services are quite popular all over the world. If you choose sites like WordPress or Medium, you are sure to get exactly the kind of platform you are looking for. They are absolutely free.
  • If you are not very comfortable with web designing techniques, you don’t need to worry. Creating your blog is not as complicated as designing template for a website. These blogging services provide a wide range of templates from which you can choose the one most suited to your tastes.
  • You must also use your discretion while blogging. Especially if you are incorporating your blog within your website, or creating a blog to increase awareness of your product, you need to keep in mind that this is an open forum which is read by all. You do not want to say anything that may end up angering your target market. Politics and religion are the two most controversial themes, and therefore anything about those must be carefully blogged about. (Unless your blog is based on one of them)
  • Anything that is particularly reader-friendly and does not anger too many people is considered ‘safe’. If your aim is indeed to increase the ranking of your site, you will have to make sure many people read it. You can do this by making your content user-friendly & more appealing.
  • Also, keep an eye on what other people write or say on their blogs. This can give you a general idea of what kind of responses those articles receive, and you can get valuable tips from them.

Blogging has come to be considered a highly effective marketing tool. You can easily create awareness of your product and get clients and customers to interact with each other. And not only customers, also those who are relatively new to your product get a platform to ask questions and clear their air about your product.

It also increases your website rankings can increase because the blog is constantly being update, commented on, and discussions are always going on. Because of its sheer activity, the rankings improve, creating more awareness of the product.

The following are the pointers based on which you can blog about your product:

  • Never make the blog post too long uselessly. It must be well written. Long posts tend to get dreary and they are not ‘catchy’ enough for people to sit and go through them. Unless it is written to not have a lot of “Fluff”.
  • Update your blog regularly. Since you don’t need to write long posts, that is not much effort. Ideally, blog 3-5 times a week.
  • Be entertaining where required, everyone can do with some light hearted humor, without being derogatory.

  • Be yourself. Do not imitate or copy someone else’s content.

How to Start Your Own Blog in Less than 15 Minutes

Creating a blog is nothing that you need to be afraid of. There is no elaborate planning required either. However, there are a few things you would need to decide.

The following is a quick guide of what to think over before creating your blog:

  • Blogging Platform: You need to decide which blogging platform you would like to use. You can use one of the many free platforms. (WordPress.com, Medium.com, Blogger.com) or you can start a blog with your domain “UrOnlineBrand.com” on a self-hosted WordPress blog.

If you decide to use one of the free platforms to start I’d recommend that you use WordPress.com if you are planning on growing it and eventually getting your own “UrOnlineBrand.com” self-hosted site. It will let you export your posts and upload them on the new website. Start with WordPress.com.

If you chose Medium, it is a great platform that can help you get discovered. Start with Medium

Last but not least if you decide to start a blog on your own domain, you will need to have a domain & hosting. Then you just need to set up your account and then install WordPress and get going! If you need more step by step type of training for this you can start with the “Blitz” training.

  • Nature of Blog: You must determine who should read your blog-whether you want it to be read only by a select circle, or must it be open to all. This will depend upon the content, mainly.
  • Content: You could pick up a specific theme and write about it consistently, or merely decide on any random topic as and when it interests you. You could try putting up content for a while and see the kind of response you get and alter or modify it accordingly. I’d recommend listing out 50 topics/titles to start with. Once you have started your blog, you will have noticed that it hardly takes fifteen minutes to do so with WordPress.com or Medium. Getting started with self-hosted blogging may take one or two minutes over that fifteen-minute mark. Maintaining the blog is even easier. Here are a few tips that would help you successfully keep your blog going:

  • Update: Update frequently otherwise visitors may stop coming to your blog. It will also give you more confidence to churn out more better-worded posts in the future.
  • Personalize: Even though you might be discussing general and universal themes, add your own personal touch to make things lighter and interesting.
  • Spelling and Grammar: Make sure you proof-read your posts. Spelling and grammatical errors can be a major put-off for many readers. (Grammarly is an awesome tool!)

Writing Content and Getting Constant Traffic to Your Blog

Blogging has truly revolutionized the way one experiences the digital age. There is, it seems, no limit to what one can do with the help of blogs. Even the smallest aspect of your daily personal life like recording journal entries has been given an entirely new dimension.

Going on from there, there is a lot of scope of picking up interesting debates and discussions through blogs. You can even start some of these discussions yourself.

Moreover, there is nothing as interesting and attractive than that fact that you can even earn some money while blogging.

  • Reader-Friendly Content: At all costs keep your content – articles, poems, photographs, videos – reader friendly, that is to say, it should keep more and more readers interested. Your reader must be at the center of your post in a way that your reader must feel that he is gaining something out of reading your post. This is the basic rule in marketing.
  • Worthwhile: Never let the reader feel that he has been tricked into reading your post or clicking on your blog link. You are thwarting all your long-term chances of that reader coming back to your blog, in which case your blog rankings over the long term are in a dicey position.
  • Check for errors: Making grammatical and spelling errors can be a major put off for many readers. They may not visit your blog again simply because of the errors that you make are too high. Always proofread your blog. A small typo here and there can be understood, but make sure you don’t make any major errors. (Gramblr is an awesome tool to help with this)
  • KISS: Or, Keep It Short and Simple. This is the thumb rule you must follow at all point. Long winding posts tend to get boring. And it may contain nothing that is interesting to the reader. Also, no one has enough time for your blog, no matter how well you write. In fact, your blog will be much more appreciated if you put your thoughts simply and shortly.
  • Interesting: Make sure that you hold your reader’s attention by making your posts snazzy. They must not be written in a tone that is tiring to read. Write short sentences and keep then crisp and precise. Always hit the point immediately in the course of your article.
  • Link: Keep linking the blogs you read to yours in order to build a network those people will be in turn encouraged to link you. Remember, linking increases rankings.
  • Keywords: Using the keywords of your posts frequently increases the search ability of that particular article of yours which in turn leads more people to visit your blog.
  • Clear Thoughts: searchability you put your thought clearly before the readers so that it does not become tedious for them to read.
  • Colloquialism: You can write in a friendly tone. Avoid using too many slang words, but otherwise, if your post demands it, you can be colloquial.
  • Post Title: A catchy post title or headline is half your business solved. It can glue a reader to your post almost immediately. However, do not put misleading post titles, or you will lose creditability.

So, be consistent with your blog content and watch traffic flowing in to your blog!

  2. Aweber – I’ve used Aweber for years and have found that their features are amazing. It can get pricey with the first initial package starting at $19/month but if you are wanting to go with a top of the line autoresponder, Aweber is it! (Without spending hundreds of dollars per month)

Autoresponders can be used to send out preset messages anytime you wish. They can be used to inform your readers of news, upcoming products, special offers, sales events and even answer most questions. 

They make it easy to let customers know about products, what features the products have, and how the customer will benefit from using the product. On top of that, autoresponders will also keep your customers up to date and follow up with them to ensure that they feel special.

Simply having a website isn’t enough these days. There are millions and millions of websites out there on the Internet, hundreds of which are offering the same products and services that you are. 

Chances are you have plenty of competition, no matter what you’re offering. To succeed this day and age, you’ll be stand out among the rest and offer your customers more than competitors. Having the edge over your competition means you’ll get more traffic which results in more sales.

How to Make Your Blog More Appealing to Your Readers

Every blogger who earns income from their blog knows that the only way you can make money is by getting and keeping the traffic coming. Without your readers, you wouldn’t be making money at all.

There are lots of ways to get them there, but the question is – how do you keep them returning?  If a reader isn’t impressed by your blog at all, then they’ll leave your blog, never to return again.

With them goes their blog’s traffic that you could’ve benefited from if they’d linked to you. Here are some tips to make your blog appealing enough to keep the traffic there to earn you some money.

The most common mistake some bloggers make is in their blog’s design. Blog readers not only look for interesting and informative content – they also want to come to an inviting space to read it. A new trick I’ve been using lately, here on this site, is a plugin called

The blog’s design needs to be inviting to them and comforting. It’s crucial not to have anything that would annoy them to the point of leaving because they can’t stand it. Make sure you’re not annoying them with a colored font that’s hard to read or a bunch of graphics that are too distracting.

A few animated graphics are fine but don’t have flashing ads and glittering graphics detracting from your blog’s message – or your strategically-placed advertisements.  It’s fine to use a colored font for your posts, but make sure it’s easy to read.

A pale yellow font color against a pure white background may be too difficult for the visitors to read. They shouldn’t clash with the background color either. Clashing colors can give visitors headaches, so they’ll leave your site without bookmarking it for a later visit.

The other common mistake bloggers tend to make is with their content. Some bloggers don’t update very often. If you only post once a month, your readers will forget you’re there and won’t return to your site. Post to your blog at least three times a week to keep human visitors and search engine spiders coming back.

Some bloggers also make the mistake of only providing text content to their blogs. Text posts are great, but mix it up a little every once in awhile with multi-media formats.  Provide some interesting pictures, audio files, and videos. Offer a little variety and your visitors will come back to check and see what else you’ve been up to.

It’s also important to stick to your blog’s niche topic. If you’re blogging about Homeschooling, then stick to that topic. Providing information about a celebrity’s latest excursion will turn off your readers unless it somehow relates to homeschooling.

To make your blog successful in bringing you money, make sure you make the blog appealing to your readers.  If your readers keep coming back, your chances of making money from your ads and offers will increase.

It’s one of the questions that come up almost every time I sit down with a business owner.

“How do I market my business without spending a lot of money?”

The answer is easy: Don’t spend a lot of money! But seriously, it is that simple.

Getting started as a business you will need to spend some money but you do not have to spend a ton of money. As you grow your business just remember that you CAN grow your business with only a small investment.  Want to know what you need and what it costs? Have that other question?

How much should I spend on marketing?

Here is the breakdown for what you should spend money on…

  1. Domain – Your domain (.com) is only $9.99/year & add private registration for only $1.95/year (Price is through HostYak.com | You can get your domain through InMotion Hosting for free with your hosting)
  2. Hosting – I’ve been with a lot of different hosting companies over the years & I strongly recommend “HostYak.com” it is who I’m using to host this website and working on moving all of my other websites to them. This is where you will find that free domain.  I’d recommend the “Business (Shared) Hosting” then pick the “Power Plan”.
  3. WordPress Theme – Depending on what theme you chose the price changes but I’m using Salient ($59/single site) & Optimize Press ($97/3sites) on my sites. This site is built with Salient.
  4. SSL Certificate – This is never a MUST but it is recommended if you are going to be running an e-commerce store, either way, it’s a basic and easy thing to set up.
  5. SiteLock Basic – Another security blanket to help protect you from hackers – Only $17.88/year. (Price is through HostYak.com)
  6. Email Auto-Responder – You can get Free Autoresponders but I’d recommend the spend and get an account with Aweber.  I’ve used them for a while and everything syncs with them lol 🙂 (Only $19/month BUT the 1st month is FREE)
  7. Ghostwriter – There are a lot of ghostwriters out there. You can have someone like natashanixon on Fiverr do your article and content for $5-10/page or you can use PLR and create your own(PLR can be as cheap as $1 per article or even a subscription base like RRW. ($0 yes, they have a free monthly membership and a premium membership for only $19)

Now if you go through everything and try to see what it will cost let me help …

Starting out you NEED to have a website (domain, hosting & theme) so the cost for that is about $$75  (plus taxes and ICANN Fees) up front and then only $9.99 each month after that for your hosting and the domain will renew each year on the anniversary of your registration.

That is all you NEED.

Outside of that all you need to do is focus on building a following of loyal fans.  The hardest part is doing this. But, it is the most important part.

Using platforms like Instagram, Facebook & Twitter you can build a following that will grow your business without a lot of work. Ok, I lied, it can be a lot of work but once you get most of the “Build” done, you can maintain and stay active with your community with only a small amount of time and you will not be spending any money doing this. (You can buy followers and likes but that doesn’t mean you should!)

Just start and do not quit.  It’s going to be a hard journey but that’s the good thing with business. You put the work in up front to live a better life down the line.

Tips on Finding Great Content for Your Blog

In order to make your blog successful, you’ll need to get traffic to it and keep the traffic coming back. The best way to do this is to provide the best content you can in your niche or market and make it interesting to your blog readers.

Even the most successful bloggers start to run out of their own original content to post about. Some resort to scraping the bottom of the barrel to find things to discuss, but that ultimately loses them readers, which means less business and money streaming in.

Where do you find great ideas to post about?  There are actually many different things to use to get you out of your stuck-in-a-rut mode or as a lot of others say “writers-block”. These may be simple techniques to use, but they can be effective if used right. Here are some things to try the next time you get stuck for something to write about:

Scour the news sitesSearch the news sites like CNN, MSNBC, and FoxNews and see if you can find a top story that you can blog about. Instead of just linking to the story, add your own accounting of it.

You can post about your personal feelings toward the story or ask your readers what their thoughts are on it. Just make sure the story somehow relates to your blog’s topic. For example, if you run a fitness blog a good story from Huffington Post on the health benefits of a new drink that company “X” is releasing would be a great start.

Check out your fellow blogger’s sites and see what they’re blogging about – It may seem unethical, but as long as you’re not stealing content, it’s perfectly acceptable to see what the community is interested in.

Is there a post that catches your eye?  Is there something you can add to that post?  A new spin you can put on it?  Media outlets always have an eye on the competition to see what others are doing – and you should, too!

Internet researchDo a search on the Internet for your blog’s topic. See what information you can come up with concerning your niche. You may become inspired by something you’ve read there or you may think of some comments to post about it.

Check the video sitesYouTube has a bunch of different videos out there that you can add to your blog.  See if you can find one that relates to your blog’s topic. Post the video to your blog and have your readers share their thoughts on it.

Consider doing reviewsReviews can be a good filler to use while you try to get inspired again. Choose some articles, websites, books or whatever you can think of that’s related to your blog’s topic and post a review of it. If it’s a good review, add your affiliate link and make some money from your opinions!

Daily activities Think about what happened within your day that you might be able to work into your blog.  If your blog is about flowers and you happened to go for a walk and saw some flowers on the way, use that as your post.

Let your readers know what kinds of flowers are seen in your neighborhood and if possible, take come pictures to add since visual stimulation enhances the reader’s experience.

You can easily get back your inspiration for your blog posting if you look to other sources. They can help you come up with ideas of what you can share with your readers or they can give you a nice filler until your personal inspiration comes back. Don’t lose readers just because you’ve lost your blogging muse!

The main thing is that you need to use the resources that you have.  Depending on your niche you may find some really big Facebook groups or hashtags on Twitter or Instagram that might feed into your content.  You need to get creative!

Paypal has you covered! Unfortunately, if you are not familiar with the backend, you find it hard to figure out. That is where this blog post comes in.

The first thing you will need to do is to log into PayPal.

Once you are logged in you will need to scroll down the page and click on the “Details” link under Selling Tools on the left side of the page.

That is going to take you to the “Tools” page.

From here you will want to click on “create payment button for your website”

Now that you have done that all you need to do is select the donations tab from the button builder.

The next thing you should do is type in the name of your organization.

Now, click “Create Button”

The last thing for you to do is copy the HTML code and paste it where you wish to have it on your website. If you do not have a website and would like to build one you can do so with the Blitz

REMEMBER: This is HTML so if you are using a WYSIWYG type of builder such as Elementor for WordPress, you’ll need to make sure it is in the HTML editor and not visual editor. 

Also: If you are wanting to send people a link for them to donate instead of putting a donate button on your website you can simply click on Email to get the donate link.

Now you can simply copy and paste the link in a email, Twitch, YouTube or wherever you want to list the link.
